  My family of 14 stayed at Destin Jewel last May. The name is definitely appropriate for what you will experience once you enter this magnificent home located on 100 feet of very private beach! The entire process was just seamless from making the reservation with the very friendly and accommodating staff at Five Star Properties to having a staff member greet us at the home upon check in to take us through the house to familiarize us with the aspects of the technology of this smart home, which I might add, is amazing. The home is just beautiful and each of the bedrooms is the color of a different jewel. 7 of the 9 bedrooms face the ocean with floor to ceiling Windows with blinds that can be raised and lowered with the touch of a button. Each bathroom is equipped with a urinal which is surprising because we met the owner who designed and built the home and it was a female! The owners were very pleasant and were very concerned with our complete satisfaction of our stay in their home. The bunk room has a life-size replica of a ship with the bunks built inside. We had a hard time coaxing my 3 yr old nephew out of his boat each morning!
  Fortunately, there is an elevator that services all 3 floors and it resembles a glass tube which fits nicely with the very contemporary decor of this well designed home. The kitchen is equipped with 2 refrigerators and and 2 freezers, which easily accommodated food for 14. The pool is a magnificent addition to the outdoor space which includes several fire features, a large hot tub and a well equipped outdoor kitchen with 2 large flat screen tv's. There is also a full bathroom located in the pool area, which is a nice touch. Then there is the very private beach complete with 8 umbrellas and 16 chairs that were set up for us each morning.
  If you are looking for a large, magnificently designed and decorated, ultra contemporary home on a very private beach then you need to book and experience this jewel of a home located on Holiday Island with its low traffic count, which is the perfect place to ride the 6 bicycles that are provided with the home.
  We all felt very pampered and relaxed, even though a bit sad, when we left.
  This was our second stay with Five Star and we have already booked our next stay with them.
